The Scarlet Letter

The Scarlet Letter was written by Nathaniel Hawthorn in 1850, this is a romantic fiction (I'm sure you know it ).

The scene takes place en 1666. This is the story of Hester who arrives from England in a Massachusetts colony . Awaiting her husban, she establishes independnce ... She falls in love with a youg pastor who feels the sames . When they lear that Hester husband was probabbly died in the hand of Indian, they consummate their love. A child is born and one day Hester is publicy humiliated and made to wear a scarlet "A" as "adultery".

In fact I want to tell you that you have probably heard about this book because a film Easy A was partially inspired by this novel . This is the story of Olive who after a little lie about her virginity gets out will sees her life parralleling Hester Prynne's in The Scarlet Letter .
